Finally back on the road!

I didn't post anything yesterday since we were still waiting for the motorhome to be finished and we spent the whole day with Chuck and Joann.  We thought the shop would be finished with the brake job by mid-day, but it was afternoon before we got a call from them.  He asked us to come in so he could discuss something....NOT a good sign!  We anxiously went to the shop and he told is that the rotors they had sent did not have the grooves for the ABS system to work.  They would still brake just fine, but not on a slick road. The books used by the parts place showed that our model did not have ABS, but it does!  He said we could either wait a couple of days for the other rotors, or we could go ahead with these (and the ABS light would be on) and they would ship the other ones to Durham and we could send the others back.  We would just have to pay someone to put them on.  We chose the latter, and he discounted his labor to cover what we will have to pay someone else.  He felt really bad about the situation and said that's NOT the way he likes to do business, but knew we wanted to get moving!

He called us that evening since he had been stewing about it, and said he was worried that we might burn out the ABS sensor with it staying on, so he came the house early this morning to unplug it.

So...we started out around 9:30 and Tommie drove just under 500 miles to Mt. Jackson, VA.  We found a nice campground really near I-81 with a nice level pull-through spot and good WiFi.

This is where we planned to keep the motorhome while we visited!
