A little downtime

We waited at our campground in Blanding for a little while, since we only had about 75 miles to go and didn't want to get to the Moab campground too early.  We spent some time talking with a really nice couple from Tennessee next door.

There was some pretty scenery as we drove north on route 191 and I got a few pictures.  Our campground in Moab is a little pricier than what we usually pay, but it's nice and has full hook-ups with cable and a fenced dog area.

We got settled in, ate lunch and rode around Moab a little.  We found a much-needed supermarket, which is the first we've seen in about two weeks.  Just about all we've bought so far has been milk and bread!  This store is one of the Kroger family of stores, so it's pretty much what we have at home.

Then, we stopped by the visitor center to get some information about the things to do here.  We are between Arches and Canyonlands, which will each take a day.  There are also some high mountains not far away.  It's in the 90's here so we won't be out of the car much until it cools off!

We spent some time in the Museum of Moab, which has exhibits on the early settlers, as well as the uranium mining which used to be big here.
