We decided to eat a seafood meal for lunch and chose the Pacific Oyster because of the rave reviews, but we weren't crazy about it. The oyster stew was wonderful, but the fried platter wasn't as good as we had hoped.
We finally made it up to Cape Meares on our third try. It's been fogged in the other two times we went to it. Today it was pretty clear, but it was only 60 degrees with a 50 MPH wind. Tommie needed that jacket we bought! There's a lovely little lighthouse and also a weird "Octopus Tree" in that park.

| Octopus Tree...a Sitka Spruce. They don't know why it formed this way. There's no center trunk. It's 105 feet tall and 250-300 years old. |
