We bought tickets for the Cody Trolley Ride and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. We went on the first trolley ride of the day since we're up early. It was well-done hour of information all about the history of the town and Buffalo Bill Cody, who was the town founder.
Then we spend another 4 or 5 hours in the historical center. It has several huge sections: the firearms museum, a gallery of western art, a Native American section, the story of Buffalo Bill's life, and a natural history museum. The tickets are for two days, which you need to see anywhere near all of it. They also have different guided tours and programs. We went on a wildlife tour, during which the guide pointed out wildlife themes throughout several of the museums, and I went to the raptor program while Tommie looked at more guns (I had seen enough!)
After we had had all the museum-looking we could stand for one day, we spent some time looking in stores, and then went to see the nightly gun-fight on the street.
