Quiet day in La Crosse, Wisconsin

We spent the day exploring the city of La Crosse, Wisconsin.  First, we stopped at a small farmer's market.  They had a good band playing folk music, and a small petting zoo to promote a local farm that does tours.  Someone was selling cheese curds, but we had already bought two packages yesterday!

We drove up to Granddad Bluff Park, where there's a place to look over the town.  But, it started drizzling so we didn't stay long.  We had thought about taking a river cruise on a Mississippi paddle boat, but with light rain and solid clouds, it wasn't too appealing.  We drove to the north end of French Island to Nelson County Park and had to take a round-about route because of bridge construction.  With the stormy clouds, there wasn't much to see from there, either.

We stopped by a few stores, and then came back to the campground to walk the dogs and fix dinner.  It was a relaxing day, but nothing exciting to report!

would have been nice in good weather!
