We drove east on I-90 to Castle Rock Park which is on Castle Lake just north of Wisconsin Dells, where we'll go tomorrow. We're taking short trips across Wisconsin, since we're not due in Oshkosh until the end of the week.
This is a pretty park on a nice lake. We didn't have reservations since you can't make one for just one night, and they said they would have plenty of spaces. But we got here early, and lots of people had not left yet. We still found one just as someone was leaving.
We thought about going to the Necedah Wildlife Preserve, but when I entered it into my phone, Google Maps told me that my "destination might not be open"....which was true! Thanks, Google! So we drove into the town of Mauston which is not far from here and did a little shopping. Then we walked around our campground. There's a pizza place just down the road that all the reviews raved about, so we tried it out, and it was good!
