Gallup to Lake Powell

It was tough selecting which of my 403 pictures to post!  This scenery is just incredible!  Every turn in the road brings something new.

We left Gallup early and headed up highway 491 and 264 again, and then onto 160 and 89 into Page, AZ.  We saw piles of brown rocks, spires of red rock, never-ending plateaus, and huge canyons.

We are camping at the Wahweap Marina at Lake Powell.  This is an amazing campground!  The sites all have magnificent views of the lakes and surrounding rocks.  Of course, the lake level is alarmingly low.  Tomorrow we hope to take a canyon boat cruise and a slot canyon tour.

Horses in the road.
Some places they say livestock will be loose, but I don't think these were supposed to be!

A layer of clouds in the distance

Looks like a western movie!

We kept seeing Humphreys Peak in the distance.
It's just north of Flagstaff.

Wow!  Our campsite!

Real cowboys!
