Arrival at Air Venture

We drove the almost 100 miles from Algoma to Oshkosh, mostly through back roads.  There was one closed road, so we didn’t go quite the way we had planned, but we missed the Green Bay traffic.

We got to Sleepy Hollow Farm Campground around 11:00 AM, set up camp, and met some of our new neighbors for the week. We talked the security people into letting us ride our bikes through the display area, which is still being set up.

Then we found a car wash for my car, which was pretty nasty after almost two weeks of towing.  We also stocked up on groceries.

Warning: for the next 9 days, most of my pictures will be aircraft-oriented.  :-)

I managed to get a picture of another pretty farm.

Getting close to our destination!

Our campground has a new sign!

There's a Goodwill store across the street from the airport.
They have a good plan:  they sell bikes for $50 to the pilots who fly to the show...
and then probably have most of them given back at the end of the week!

Our home for the week.
Note the nice grass, which makes Baxter very happy!

I took this because I liked the clouds!
