We survived Highway 1... again!

We took a deep breath and started down US 1 on the coast toward Bodega Bay.  There were really only two turns that took my breath away.  One was uphill and one was downhill.  There were guardrails on most (but not all) of the steep drop-offs.  I kept taking pictures (over 170 on the 100 mile, 4 hour trip) which kept me from thinking about the steep cliff beside my seat.  A motorhome is much taller than a car, so it can be really scary to look down!  On one downhill hairpin, our towbar scraped the pavement a little, but it's still functional.

We're in another marina campground with a nice view of the boats.  The main problem is a lack of grass for the boys' outings.

After we got set up and ate lunch, we rode around the town, and then back up the same highway.  I wanted to get more pictures from viewpoints and not through a window.  Part of that drive was cloudy, so the water wasn't so blue as on the first trip.

Some of these pictures taken from the motorhome have some glare from the windows.

This is a typical view of the coast.
There's lots of pasture along the hillsides,
and some free-range cattle!
